Counting SRO Residents in SF Chinatown Tests Census

For the U.S. Census, San Francisco’s Chinatown has been one of the most under-counted areas in the city because of the large number of single-room-occupancy hotels (SROs). But this year, with outreach efforts by the city, community organizations, ethnic media and schools, Chinatown has a relatively high census participation rate. Poll: Arizona Latinos Oppose New Law

A survey of Latino voters in Arizona conducted by Latino Decisions, in collaboration with Arizona State University, found that 70 percent expressed "strong" opposition and another 11 percent said they had "some opposition" to SB 1070.
