China Has Duplicated Human Embryos

BEIJING Shandong Province Stem Cell Engineering Technology Research Center announced Feb. 2 that they have successfully duplicated five human embryos. The World Journal reports that the research result has been published in an authoritative international journal Cloning and Stem Cells. Jianyuan Li, who has been leading the research group said they dont duplicate embryos to create human beings, but for research into healthcare. Lis group received 135 donated egg cells from 12 healthy women to conduct their research.
