Dear colleagues,
New America Media is excited to announce our
plans for a 2012 NAM Washington D.C. Seminar on School Reform for ethnic
and community media. We are now happy to receive applications from ethnic
and community reporters from Memphis, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Miami for
this educational two-day conference and training in our capital on July
26-27, 2012. The application is short and easy. It is a great opportunity
to meet with education experts, researchers, reformists, practitioners,
veteran education writers, and ethnic media reporters from other cities.
Please encourage any ethnic media reporters you know to apply for this
great opportunity.
Twenty to twenty-four fellows will be
chosen
for the program. New America Media will cover two nights of hotel stay,
travel expenses, as well as lunch for the two-day training. Reporters who
completed the training will have a chance to apply for a financial stipend
to further develop their stories.
Applications are due on Friday, June 22, 2012. Please click
here to read more about the application process.
If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me via email at vpo@newamericamedia.org or by phone at
