New America Media, Photo Gallery, Brittany Owens, Peter Micek & Suzanne Manneh Posted: Jul 25, 2008

The wheels were turning as car lovers and environmentalists merged at the Green Street car show in Fresno, Calif., on June 28. Environmental and auto experts and students spoke about their part in keeping the environment green and the air quality clean.

New America Media, an association of ethnic media, hosted the exhibition and panel discussion sponsored by the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

The event was based on the Bureau of Automotive Repair's Drive Healthy campaign.

Tips for healthy driving offered by the panelists include:

  • keeping your car tuned up
  • keeping emissions equipment intact
  • look at how and where you're driving
  • look at how we build our communities.
