Muggers Target Women in High Heels

LOS ANGELES – Chinese women wearing high heels are new targets for robbery in Los Angeles County, reports the Sing Tao. The Los Angeles Police Department announced Tuesday that the economic recession has negatively affected local public security. Many victims of recent robberies are Chinese
women wearing high heels, whom criminals consider to be the most venerable, reports the newspaper. The police are calling for the public to take extra care against crime. They are encouraging women not to wear high heels or hold too many shopping bags at one time.
