Korean Americans Salute New Hampshire Vets

BOSTON, Mass., The New Hampshire Korean Association is holding a meeting and gala dinner to thank soldiers who fought in the Korean War on June 27 at New Hampshire's soldiers' cemetery. According to the Korean American Press, the annual event includes veterans and their families, soldiers who served in South Korea and their families, and members of the New England association of Korean reservists. According to figures released by the state of New Hampshire in 2007, there are approximately 19,600 veterans who participated in the Korean War and now reside in New Hampshire. There were 28,000 soldiers who were born in New Hampshire and participated in the war, 135 of whom died in the war. Through the event, the Korean community of New Hampshire hopes to develop better relations with American society
