Sec. Clinton Holds First–Ever TV Forum in Manila

MANILA -- ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., the country’s largest multimedia conglomerate, will broadcast "Hillary Clinton: The Manila Forum - An ABS-CBN Exclusive" on Nov. 13, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Philippine time, live on the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) and ABS-CBN Channel 2 at 9:00 a.m. The program will be broadcast in the United States on Nov. 12 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. This will mark the first time in Philippine TV history that a U.S. Secretary of State has held a televised public forum.
The network’s multimedia coverage of Clinton's visit this week cited her pledge of stronger Philippine– U.S. ties. Clinton stated in a press conference with Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo, "I would just reiterate that the U.S. stands ready to assist our friends in the Philippines who are seeking to counter terrorism and radical extremism.”
