Award Winning Scientist Encourages Biodiversity in Cuba

Editor's Note: Humberto Ros Labrada, a scientist and biodiversity researcher, worked with farmers to increase crop diversity and develop low-input agricultural systems, the union has helped Cuba turn it's agriculture from a mono culture to much needed biodiversity. He is a recipient of the Goldman Environmental Prize in 2010 for excellence in protecting the environment.
