World Journal, news, Posted: Aug 15, 2009

SAN JOSEChinese American student Wendy Yang attended San Jose State University orientation and was getting ready for school to start. Then on August 5, she found out her student account was canceled, along with her $8,000 scholarship. World Journal reports that SJSU needed to slash admissions due to budget cuts and Yang was one of the students who was denied admission at the last minute based on her last academic report. Yang said she had already rejected an offer from CSU Monterey Bay and had no time to apply other schools.
