More Filipinos, Asians Deported by ICE

LOS ANGELESForty-nine Filipinos, 44 Indonesians and 13 Cambodians were deported back to their home countries last week, the Philippine News reports. Forty-six had been convicted of criminal offenses, including felony drug trafficking and possession, child abuse and sex crimes. These people came from across the United States and were housed at various detention facilities before being sent by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Wash. They were flown back to their home countries Aug 14. 
During the first 10 months of this year, ICE sent back more than 235,000 people, 74,000 of whom had criminal records.
