Tibet to Celebrate

BEIJING The Tibet Autonomous Region for the first time invited media from
four neighboring countries, including India and Nepal, to cover its annual political consultative conference starting Monday, reports the World Journal. One of the topics of this years meeting is the proposal to set up an annual Million Slaves Liberation Day to remember and celebrate the Communist Party's freeing of over one million slaves from in Tibet when its military took over the
local government in the 50s.
