The Korea Daily, Posted: Aug 24, 2009

LOS ANGELES -- A 21-year-old youth group leader at a church in Cypress, Calif. was charged for smoking marijuana and having sex with a 15-year-old girl, reports The Korea Daily. The Orange County District Attorneys Office indicted Timothy Han of Fullerton on Aug. 18 with felony unlawful sexual intercourse, felony oral copulation with a minor and a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to the newspaper, Han met the girl through his work at Miracle Land Korean Baptist Church. On June 22, 2008 he allegedly smoked marijuana with the girl and then had sex with her in his car parked in the church parking lot. He was arrested after the girl told her parents about what happened. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of three years and eight months in prison. Han is free on $50,000 bail.
