San Diego Latino Voter Registration Lags Far Behind Population

Latinos account for almost one-third of San Diego County's population, according to the 2010 Census. But a recent report by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters found that Latinos made up only 17 percent of the county's registered voters. While Latinos may have increased in numbers, they do not appear to be growing significantly as a share of the region's voting public.
