Atlanta Latino, Posted: Jan 29, 2009

ATLANTA -- A letter signed by 1,200 immigrant rights groups from 39 states and Puerto Rico that calls for immigration policy reform was sent to Pres. Barack Obama, the Atlanta Latino reports. The petition asks for a "just" policy that respects the rights of non-citizens in the United States. The letter campaign was organized by the National Immigration Forum, which described the nation's immigration system as chaotic.
