The Children's Advocacy Institute at the University of San Diego and the Regional Task Force on the Homeless are partnering up with the California Research Bureau to bring you a screening of their new video Voices From The Street: Homeless Youth Speak Out On State Policy followed with a lively discussion on how we in San Diego can begin to pout together our own specialized study and enumeration of unaccompanied street homeless youth.

Lisa Foster and Nell Bernstein from the California Research Bureau will be with us to answer questions about the video and accompanying study: "Voices from the Street: A Survey of Homeless Youth by Their Peers". (you can download the study at

In our committed effort to better understand the homeless street population CAI and RTFH are working towards a specialized point-in-time enumeration and survey which will better reflect the reality, in both numbers and experiences, of this subpopulation.

This is our chance to learn from the best and start mobilizing our own task force to collect the data, information and stories on San Diego's homeless youth population to better seve our youth and become a leading voice within our state!!
