You are invited to a briefing of the results from the 2012 TCWF-Field Health Policy Survey, which examines California voter views about the Affordable Care Act, the nation's health reform law, following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling of its constitutionality. The briefing will be held at 10 a.m. in the State Capitol on Monday, August 20.

This is the sixth in a series of annual health policy surveys conducted by The Field Poll on behalf of The California Wellness Foundation. The current survey updates voter views about the health care system overall, the health reform law, its impact on this year's presidential election, and next steps for the state as implementation of the law moves forward here.

The 2012 poll is a multilingual voter survey, conducted in seven languages and dialects, to enable it to capture the richness of the multi-ethnic California voter population.

Mark DiCamillo, Director of the Field Poll, will present a summary of the survey's main findings. A distinguished panel of discussants will then offer their reactions and comments, moderated by Dr. Diana Bontá, President and CEO of The California Wellness Foundation. Below is a list of the discussants who will be participating:

Secretary Diana Dooley, California Health and Human Services Agency
Peter Lee, JD, Executive Director, California Health Benefit Exchange
Carmela Castellano-Garcia, Esq., President and CEO, California Primary Care Association
Gerald Kominski, PhD, Professor, UCLA School of Public Health, and Director, UCLA Center for Health Policy Research
Emil Guillermo, Independent Journalist, Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund
