La Opinión's Exclusive Interview with John McCain

La Opinión, Posted: Jun 19, 2008

WASHINGTON -- In an exclusive telephone interview with Spanish-language newspaper La Opinión, presumptive Republican presidential candidate John McCain said that it is "simply false" that he has abandoned his position on comprehensive immigration reform and denied that his security-first plan would cost him Latino votes in November. McCain said immigration reform would be high on his list of priorities, La Opinión reports. McCain and Sen. Barack Obama will speak at a forum before the National Council of La Raza.
