Olympics Committee Announces Fireworks Design

BEIJING -- The Beijing Olympics Committee published on July 22 the fireworks design for the opening ceremony. The World Journal reported that 73 stations in Beijing will set off 33,800 fireworks displays the night of Aug. 8. Peonies, a dragon, the five-ring Olympics logo and 2,008 smiling faces will be seen in the sky. Fireworks will be set off throughout the entire opening ceremony.
