WASHINGTON D.C. For the 2.2 million Asian Americans who dont have healthcare insurance, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is promising a universal healthcare plan that everyone can afford, the World Journal reports. Congressman Mike Honda said Monday that besides lowering the cost of healthcare, Obama will make safe, cheap, imported medicine more accessible to the public. At the same time, Obama asks the government to spend 500 million dollars to fix the disparities in healthcare faced by ethnic communities.
