WASHINGTON--Gang membership is growing and so is the participation of younger gang members who are committing serious crimes, according to police statistics in Montgomery County, Va., reports El Tiempo Latino. The police report that in the past two months alone, they have arrested 17 gang members on charges related to two unrelated homicides. Authorities say that while adults between 25 and 30 years old run the gangs, they try to recruit adolescents to commit crimes.
