Filipinos Celebrate Inaugural, Ask Obama For Veterans Equity

Editor's Note: Filipino-American community leaders hope President Barack Obama keeps his promise to support the Filipino Veterans Equity Bill . On the eve of Obama's inauguration, Rep. Steve Austria of Ohio, the second Filipino to hold a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, attended the inaugural reception of Philippine Ambassador to the United States Willy Gaa, held at the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. Austria expressed his support for the veterans bill and the work that lies ahead to give full equity to these war heroes.
