HONG KONG -- Norway is trying to hold talks between Chinese government officials and those seeking Tibetan independence from China, reports Road of World, the largest newspaper in Norway, cited by Sing Tao Daily. Talks would include the Dalai Lama. The article noted that the Dalai Lama has praised the Chinese government for the quick and transparent way it has dealt with the earthquake rescue. Hes also said he hopes the government will give the same freedom for news coverage of Tibets struggles.
