Deportation Rips Family Apart -- Moves Student to Organize

New America Media, Video Images: The Carreno Family, Josue Rojas Posted: Mar 25, 2009

Editor's Note: The Carreno family was torn apart when the patriarch Refugio was deported and his wife Lupe was put under surveillance -- the incident activated their chronically ill, 4.0 grade average carrying daughter. Josue Rojas is a content producer and Cliff Parker is the director of video production at New America Media.

Cry as these children might about their parents' deportation and ICE enforcement of our laws, the blame deserves to be squarely placed at the feet of their parents - not those of law enforcement. All involved in ICE "raids" have had their day in court and all chose to ignore our court system. REAL immigrants don't feel threatened or live in fear of ICE and REAL immigrants don't require amnesty or so-called comprehensive immigration reform.

Mezzie, you sure are a sad sack of human cells. I see you everywhere leaking your misery and bitterness all over these internet pages. I see your tiny sense of empathy and vile lack of humanity and am glad I never have to suffer your visage in my daily life. Or maybe I do. Maybe I know you. I doubt it. I hope not.

No violins, your highness instructs and I hope one day a violin doesn\'t fall on your head from a nine story building and play you the saddest song in the world. Or if it does, I hope your next life affords you more wisdom and kindness.

Just another example of how the children (who are not US citizens) must suffer for the sin of their parents just as the children of true US citizens must do when they break the law. Sorry, no violins please. They belong in whatever country they came from, they should not have had children here as they knew they it was illegal to be here for one and to try and anchor themselves here with an illegal immigrant child child. Children have th same alligence as their parents. Sorry!
