Most Recent Reports on Latino, Asian and African- American Student Achievement in California To Be Released
New America Media and The Education Trust-West invite ethnic media journalists to join us in San Francisco on February 12, 2010 to participate in an special education data training and intimate news briefing.

This event will include two parts:

PART 1: DATA TRAINING

Learn how to find the most recent education data for your specific ethnicity and region
Hands-on training given by data experts on finding and using online education research/data
Develop your education story ideas and get help with stories in progress
Obtain data on achievement, college readiness, and dropout rates among Asian, Latino, and African-American students


PART 2: NEWS BRIEFING

Obtain the most recent Education-Trust West Reports focused on Latino, Asian and African American Student Achievement
Hear from Asian, Latino and African American education experts on the most pressing education issues
Interview the report authors, our panel of experts, and the new executive director of Education Trust- West, Arun Ramanathan
