World Journal , Posted: Sep 12, 2008

WASHINGTON D.C. -- The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will speed up processing name checks for naturalization applications. The World Journal reports that the entire process is expected to be completed within one year, about six months less than the current 16 to 18 month processing time. The expedited process is expected to go into effect at the end of September.
