Schwarzenegger Asks African American Churchgoers to Vote

World Journal, Posted: May 18, 2009

LOS ANGELES To encourage more Californians from ethnic communities to vote in the special election on May 19, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger visited three African American churches Sunday, asking people to pass the six ballot measures. The World Journal reports that the governor called on churchgoers to turn prayers into action by casting their votes on Tuesday. A previous survey shows only one-fourth of Californians said they plan to vote in the special election, and only one measure 1F -- out of the six was expected to pass.
