Illegal Chinese Immigrants Go Home

World Journal, news, Posted: Apr 19, 2009

New York The economic crisis, long-pending immigration reform and the declining exchange rate of American dollars to Chinese Yuan are encouraging illegal immigrants from China to return to China. The World Journal reports that since the beginning of this year, many illegal Chinese immigrants have left the United States and more are ready to go. Xusheng Shi has been in the United States illegally for 16 years and just received a deportation notice. He said he has struggled to make money and send it back home to support his wife and children in China during these years. His wife recently told him that some people like him had come back home from the United States and are living a better life at home than Shi does in the United States. Shi said he has been planning to reunite with his family in China, and hes happy to receive the deportation notice.
