Obama Spends $20 Million on Latino Vote

Barack Obama pledged to give $20 million to gain the Latino vote. This figure is record breaking in presidential campaigns according to La Opinion. The 2004 presidential campaign spent $8.7 million in television advertising directed towards Latinos. The 20 million figure is a small amount of funds compared to the total amount collected by the Obama campaign. In the 2004 elections 7.5 million latinos voted. More than nine million will vote in November. There are 17 million Latinos eligible to vote.
