Chinatown Shops Busted for Selling Fake Luxury Items

NEW YORK Eighteen shops in New York Chinatown were cleaned out by city police Tuesday because they carried fake merchandise under luxury brand names.The China Press reports that the police confiscated large amount of fake purses, accessories, perfumes and scarves. The confiscated merchandise is valued at about one million U.S. dollars. A police officer said the mayor's office is very concerned and the merchants selling fake brand names will be sued.
