HOUSTON Twice as many Latino death-row inmates are scheduled to be executed in Texas by April 7, 2009 than were executed in all of 2008, reports Rumbo. According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, 18 inmates were executed in 2008, three of whom were Latino. Thirteen inmates have been scheduled for execution in the first four months of this year. Six of them are Latino.
