Asian American Press, Posted: Oct 28, 2008

LOS ANGELES A UCLA study of the lesbian, gay and bisexual population in California found that a significant number are raising children, reports the Asian American Press. The law school study of 66,000 Asians and Pacific Islanders (API) revealed that 31 percent of API women and 21 percent of API men within same-sex couples, are raising children with an average income of $96,290, at least 10 percent less than their heterosexual counterparts in California.
