Chinese Elders Seek Help with DTV Conversion

SAN FRANCISCO Since June 12, when all TV signals converted to digital, the Digital TV Assistance Center located in San Francisco Chinatowns Elders Center has received hundreds of phone calls for help each day. The Sing Tao Daily reports that the assistance center has is now open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in order to accommodate the phone requests and walk-in visits. The Sing Tao Daily reports that some elders who have installed the converter box are having problems getting them to work properly. The assistance center is located at 407 Sansome Street in San Francisco's Chinatown and can be reached at 1-800-958-2999.
