Posted: May 14, 2012
PHOENIX – Last week, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed into law HB 2625, a bill that limits women’s access to contraception and health care. Under the law, women seeking reimbursement for birth control from their health insurance provider must prove that they are not using the medication as contraception if they work for a religiously affiliated employer that has opted out of providing insurance coverage for contraception.
