Navajos Come Out Full Force for Obama

 It turned out that President Barack Obama didn't need the help of Navajo voters, winning re-election easily in Tuesday's election.

But Navajo voters came out in force for the national elections and overwhelmingly supported Obama in the election.

Election officials in both San Juan and McKinley counties said Navajo precincts went for Obama over Mitt Romney by better than 2-1. In some chapters, like Tohatchi and Teec Nos Pos, the support for Obama surpassed 80 percent.

That was enough in McKinley County to give Obama the entire county but in San Jun County, heavy Republican support in Farmington and Aztec carried the day and Romney easily carried the county with more than 70 percent of the vote. Read  more here.
